“But ye, o my people, rise up & awake! Let the rituals be rightly performed with joy & beauty! There are rituals of the elements and feasts of the times.”
Book of the Law II; 34-36.
Community membership is open to those who find our aims and intentions in accord with their own and who wish to participate in the celebration of the seasonal festivals and various other semi-public events hosted by the Tuath. These are celebrated on the eight festivals of the solar year (the equinoxes, solstices and cross-quarter days) as well as on certain days of particular significance in Thelema.
Each of these seasonal festivals draws on local traditions, preserving that from the past which is still valid and revitalising it for the times in which we live.
A number of ‘rites of passage’ which form an important focus for a community, are also celebrated, such rites include celebrations for the naming of children, ceremonies of marriage, funeral rites etc. Marking these important events with joy and beauty and applying the insights of the Law of Thelema to these key experiences.
Community members can avail of loans from our library, discounts on courses, free enrollment in Scoil Fis, our annual 7 month training, study material and access to member only forums (on facebook). Community members can also take part in working and research groups.
We have recently started accepting international/ associate members, who pay a reduced contribution and receive digital editions of the Tuaths journals and public publications as they are released, access to our members only forums, and participation in online aspects of our working and research groups. We are currently developing further resources for associate and distant members.
All members are community members (initiate membership being a private/ personal journey, as opposed to the more communal Community Membership), and the new community member goes through the ritual of Community Membership. Members make a contract with the Tuath, which includes making a contribution of time, effort and economic support. Current member dues can be seen on our dues and donations page.
